Abstract: In order to facilitate the process of plant stomatal development and physiology study, we report a simplified method for observing stomata by using transparent tape to shave off mesophyll cells and obtain epidermis from leaf.Compared with other methods: by tearing or adhering, this method is simple, efficient and wide applied. It has a good application on soybeans, wheat, corn and other crops. It is suitable for studying different developmental stages, distribution, dynamics and morphological studies of stomata.
