Abstract: Inheritance of plantlet regeneration ability of microspore-derived embryos was examined by 4×4 diallel crosses.Diallel analyses showed that the inheritance of plantlet regeneration ability of microspore-derived embryos fitted to the "Additive-dominant Model" and was mainly controlled by nuclear genes. The additive genetic effects were largely contributed to the genetic variance.High plantlet regeneration ability was controlled by recessive genes. The narrow sense heritability was 70.6%.
