Abstract: In order to elucidate the population dynamics of Tetranychus truncatus Enara on corn and establish controlmeasures, the effect of temperature on their life activity was studied. The results showed that the relationship between tem -perature and life parameters of experimental population of Tetranychus truncatus fell into four categories:(1)developmen -tal period and mean generation time had exponential functions with temperature;(2)time to 50% mortality, longevity ofadult female, oviposition period, intrinsic rate of increase(rm)and finite rate of increase(K)had linear functionswith tem -perature;(3)total fecundity and net production rate(R0)had parabolic functionswith temperature;(4)days for populationto double had hyperbolic function with temperature.
