Estimation of LAI and Aboveground Dry Biomass in Maize Based on Canopy Spectral Reflectance

Abstract: The reflectance and LAI of maize canopy and the aboveground dry matter were measured using Zhengdan958 and Xundan 20 as experiment material. The regression analysis was carrired out to determine the relations of LAI andaboveground dry biomass with RVI and NDVI composed of different wavelengths. The result indicated that the correlationof LAI with NDVI was higher than with RVI,while the power function regression(R950,R650)of NDVI with LAI was thebest. However,RVI had significantly binomial correlation with aboveground dry biomass,with a estimating model Y=-0.722 4(R800/R650)2+1.631 6(R800/R650)+271.49,R2=0.793 5.
