The Types in Root Responses to Water in Winter Wheat Varieties

Abstract

Abstract: The response of root to water was studied on 15 varieties of winter wheat,using plastic tube method.Results indicated that the varieties could be classified into four types upon response of dry weight of root.They were positive sensitive type,non-sensitive type,less sensitive type and negtive sensitive type.There was no correlation between drought resistance index and responses in 15 vareitses of winter wheat.
