Study on Chromosome Karyotype of Donkey in Qinghai Province

Abstract

Abstract: The chromosome karyotype of donkey in Qinghai province was studied by means of peripheral blood lymphocytes culture and conventional chromosome analysis techniques. The results showed that the diploid chromosome number of donkey was 2n=62;The shape type of autosomes were made up of 16sT+14sM+14M+16T, and that of sex-chromosomes X and Y were submetacentric and acrocentric, respectively;The chromosome karyotype of the male and female donkey were 62, XY and 62, XX and the chromosome total arms number of male and female were NF=107(♂) and NF=108(♀), respectively.
