Abstract: Forty two DH lines were selected out from 5 crosses of wheat×maize.Being compared with their wheat parents, they changed in plant height, spike numbers per plant, spike length, seed number per plant, seed weight, mature date and resistance to powder mildew. These variations were two dimensional.Dwarf lines with better agronomic characters and high resistance to powder mildews were selected out so as to be used as parents in wheat breeding.Wheat×maize method was proved valuable in haploid breeding, wheat improvement and raising breeding efficiency.
