Abstract: Electrophoretic analysis on isocnzymes was used to explore the correlation between the evolution of soybean interspecific hybrid progeny and the change of zymograms. It showed that the increase of enzyme bands was positively correlated with the evolution of the seed shell colour, the increase of 100-kernel weight, and the increase of matroclinal types. It is possible to obtain superior mutants from the material with the mutant enzyme bands, thus providing ample intermediate material for breeding.
