Abstract: During 2008- 2009,a field experiment was employed to study the relationship between chromoplast pfigment and its degraded products in flueured tobacco leaf under plant density and apical regulator (homemade) usingthe tobacco cultivar Jiyan No. 9 (local cultivars) in the Dunhua flueured tobacco producing area. Results showedthat both of the treatments namely planting density and apical regulator and their interactions extremely significantly affected the chlorophyll content the carotenoid and the content of its degradation products in postured tobacco leaf. With the planting density decreasing the chlorophyll content showed the tendency of decreased first and ascend laterthe carotenoid showed an earlier raised and later decreased state, the neoplytadiene decreased;Apical regulator proba-bly enhanced the physiological activity of tobacco plant and promoted the degradation and conversion of chromoplas tpigment.
