Abstract: The genetic effects of chlorophyll contents of cucumber inbred lines (Mz2,M}4) and their six generationsseedling under low light was analyzed by using tow different genetic methods. The principle of genetics was studied withjoint analysis of six generations and the results indicated that the chlorophyll contents of B1,B2,F2 under low light fit to amajor gene plus additive-dominance-epistasis polygene model, and the polygene heritability are 41.60%,43. 68%and68.13%respectively. The genetic effect was studied by the generation average method, the result indicated that thechlorophyll contents also fit to additiv cbminanc epitasis model, the degree of mean dominance is 2. 001,which indicat-ed the exceed inheritance. This study indicated that the genes which control the whole chlorophyll contents are additive-cbminanc epitasis and most are min effect polygene,so this is fected by environment easily, cbes not fit to the earlierchoice.
