Abstract: The isolation and clone of plant disease resistant gene has great significance for plant resistance breeding and the study on disease resistance mechanism. The transposon tagging and map based cloning is the major methods for disease resistance genes cloning in the past. And the use of these two methods are seriously limited for traits with unkown gene product and without fine mapping.Recent studies had shown that resistant candidate genes can be identified by homologic sequences. In this paper, the three methods of identifying resistant candidate genes by using homologic sequeces was expatiated. This will provide some reference for digging disease resistant genes and the linkage markers.
