Abstract: The effects of selenium fertilization, sprayed on leaves,on SOD enzyme activity and MDA content of wheat flag leaf and grain selenium content and yield after anthesis of wheat were studied in field experiment. The results showed that, when spraying liquid selenium fertilization in early or middle stages of grain filling, the SOD enzyme activity and selenium content of grain were significantly increased, but MDA content was decreased. The grain yield of wheat was increased to a certain extent.

Key words: Selenium fertilization, Superoxide dismutase(SOD), Maloaldehyde(MDA), Grain selenium content, Yield
