Abstract: Primers designed according to published literatures and the gene sequences of other mammals were used to amplify the full sequence of GH gene for the first time. The results showed, the full length of GH gene with 1923 bp consist of 5 exon,4 intron. The comparison of these sequences with those of other animals through Blastn of GenBank, the results indicated that the identities of cDNA sequence of the GH gene were 94.47%,92.63%,90.06% and 90.37% by homologous comparison among Sanhe horse and other four species(pig, dog, cow and sheep),and that were 97.21%,96.74%,88.84% and 88.37% in amino acid sequences. The results showed that the GH gene was conservative in the process of evolution.
