Cloning and Sequencing of the Promoter of Stress-inducible Gene rd29A from Arabidopsis thaliana

Abstract: The promoter of the rd29A gene was amplified from Arabidopsis thaliana(Columbia ecotype)genome by polymerase chain reaction and cloned into pUC19 vector. Sequence analysis showed that the obtained promoter fragment contained 937 nucleotides and showed sequence homology of 99.8% with the reported rd29A promoter.
