Abstract: The activity of peroxidase(POD).polyphenol oxidase(PPO), catalase(CAT) and the content of phenolic compound in the leaves of 3 cucumber cultivars with different resistance to Sphaerotheca fuliginea after inoculation were studied. The results showed that there was a close relation between cucumber cultivars of different disease resistance and POD, PPO, CAT and the content of phenolic compound. The relative PPO activity and phenolic compound content were possibly correlated with disease resistance of the tested cucumber cultivars.

Key words: Cucumber, Sphaerotheca, fuliginea Inoculation Enzymes activity, Phenolic compound
