Abstract: After the late harvest of summer corn, the winter wheat planting is also late, which leads to the problem of reduced winter wheat production, and discusses the best mode for supporting seeding methods in the sowing season in Southern Shanxi Province. This study was based on the dry fields of Jinyuan Farming Cooperative in Yuanqu County, Shanxi Province.Three kinds of sowing treatments were conducted. On Oct.13th, wheat width and breadth mechanization was used to explore furrows, Oct. 23rd+mechanized ridge mulching, Nov.7th+mechanized open field sowing on the agronomic traits, yield traits and dry matter accumulation of Yannong 21. The results showed that before heading, the second sowing method was conducive to the accumulation of dry matter by rooting, followed by the first sowing method and the third sowing method; during the filling period, the stem height of the first sowing method was obvious above the second and the third sowing methods, the functional green leaf area of the first sowing method lasted for a long period of time as the grain filling progressed, and the peak of the grain filling started earlier, which was beneficial to increase the grain weight of wheat and increase the yield. The first method increased the yield by 53% over the third method. The first sowing method has the potential for popularization and application in dryland wheat fields in the two cropping areas of winter wheat and summer maize. The study provided a theoretical basis for the establishment of a suitable high-yield and high-efficiency sowing method for winter wheat in dryland of the two cropping areas in China.
