Abstract: A cross of 04 D893 and 79266 in cultivated peanut was made and then selfed to construct a F6∶7 RIL population which has 142 individuals. Genetic analysis was made by method of major gene plus polygene mixed in-heritance model based on the RIL population. The single pod weight was controlled by two major genes in two envi-ronments(E1 and E2),the main gene heritability was 45.97%;The weight of per-kernel was controlled by three major genes, their heritability was about 67.54%;The thickness of pod shell was controlled by three major genes, their heritability was about 63. 24%;Length of pod shell was controlled by three major genes, their heritability was about 81. 14%;Width of pod shell was controlled by two major genes, their heritability was about 59. 83%;Total pod weight per-plant was controlled by two major genes, their heritability was lower, about 21. 76%.The results pro-vided a valuable reference in selective breeding practices.
