Abstract: The asarum is an important traditional herbal medicine in China. It is reported that it has antifungal action and the main components are essential oils.In order to explore the antibacterial mechanism of the asarum essential oils and provide the theory basis for the development of plant source disinfectant,we used dried-hyphae and fresh-hyphae,adopted conductance method, using cucumber Botrytis cinerea as the target germ, studied the effect of asarum essential oils on the hyphae conductivity of B.cinerea.The results showed that the hyphae conductivity of B.cinerea by asarum essential oils treatment was heightened with increased of processing time and concentration of asarum essential oils. The test result was ideal when using fresh-hyphae and treating time:12-24 h.The outcome indicates that the asarum essential oils can increase permeability and disrupt physiological function of membrane.
