Effects of Different Combining Application of N,P,K Fertilizers on the Chromoplast Pigment and Degraded Products in Flue-cured Tobacco Leaves

Abstract: The effects of different combining application of N,P,K fertilizers on the chromoplast pigment and degraded products in Flue-cured tobacco leaves were studied.Field experiment was conducted to study the effects of the combining application of N,P and K fertilizers on the chromoplast pigment and degraded products in flue-cured tobacco leaves of a tobacco cultivar Zhongyan100 at Wangling of modernization tobacco agriculture in Luoning County of Henan province in 2008.Results showed that the chromoplast pigment and degraded products in tobacco leaves were the lowest in the treatment without fertilizer(CK).Combining application of any two of N,P,K could increase the chromoplast pigment and degraded products.With the increment of N,P,K fertilizers,Chlorophyll,carotene and neophytadiene in flue-cured tobacco leaves increased continuously,while the contents of aroma products degraded from carotenoid increased at first then decreased,showed a shape of parabola.T6 had the highest total content of neophytadiene and Carotenoids,Therefore,reasonable combining application of N,P,K fertilizers(T6)is an important and effective measure of improving the amount of aroma in flue-cured tobacco.
