Abstract: Fragrances of Pistacia weinmannifolia,an anti -drought and fine gardening tree, changed as they were invarious cultivation environments, such as potted indoor and planted in open field outdoor, thus they were closely and circularlyhead -space sampled within adsorptive tubes, then analyzed by thermal -desorption cryo -trapping gas chromatography/mass spectrometry(TCT -GC/MS).Results showed that terpenes were both high contained in the two samples.β -pinene(30.62 %), camphene(14.39 %)and α-phellandrene(21.62 %)in the outdoor sample were considerablyhigher than those in the indoor one(β -pinene 13.28 %, camphene 1.34 % and α-phellandrene 3.60 %).It wasnear to each other of both the two samples on contents of α-pinene,p -cymene and limonene, but 2 -thujene in the indoorsample(9.36 %)was rather higher than that in the outdoor one(4.16 %).
