Abstract: The paper presents the electroantennogram responses of Spodoptera exigua to the extracts and 10 compounds from withered black poplar leaves.Virgin female, mated female and male moths have significant EAG response to extracts at the dosages from 5L to 40L compared to benzaldehyde. The compounds that elicited larger EAGs of adults were as follows: benzeneac etaldehyde, eugenol, benzyl alcohol,β-phenylethyl alcohol, hexanol and cyclohexanol.Phytol,2-methyl-cyclohexanone and β-caryophyllene revealed a weaker activeness.EAGs from mixture with different ratios of 10 compounds were more active than the single compound.
