Abstract: Sequence related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) and simple sequence repeats (SSR) markers were employed to analyze the genetic diversity of Prunus persica varieties.Nineteen SRAP and five SSR primer combinations with clear band pattern and polymorphism were selected, which produced 8polymorphism loci. The average number of polymorphic loci were 3.4 per primer pairs.Dendrograms were constructed by the unweighted pair group method of arithmetic average (UPG MA) using the NTSYS2PC version 2.1.The genetic similarity coefficient of 47 Prunus persica varieties ranged from 0.501 to 01842.The low similarity coefficient indicated that there was high level of genetic diversity in the 47 Prunus persica varieties. The most of the varieties with relative relationship in their pedigrees and similar biological characteristics were clustered into the same group. These results provide a beneficial reference for genetic breeding of Prunus persica.
