Abstract: Through analyzing the changes of protective enzymes activity and malondiadehyde content in leaves of Chinese sea buckthorn and Russian sea buckthorn in field drought stress, the results showed that the slope soil's water content is significantly lower than the gully,so SOD activity and CAT activity in leaves of Chinese sea buckthorn in the slope decreased than that in the gully,MDA content in leaves of Chinese sea buckthorn in the slpoe increased than that in the gully.Under field drought stress,SOD activity in leaves of sea buckthorn decreased notablly in the initial stage of drought stress, then decreased with the prolonging of the drought stress time,SOD avtivity showed an order of male Chinese sea buckthorn female Russian sea buckthorn male Russian sea buckthorn female Chinese sea buckthorn.CAT activity increased in the initial stage of drought stress, then decreased after the initial stage, the difference between species was Chinese sea buckthorn higher than Russian sea buckthorn, the difference between male and female was the male higher than female. The content of MDA increased with decreasing of water content of the soil,MDA content in leaves of female higher than that of male,MDA content in leaves of Chinese sea buckthorn higher than that of Russian sea buckthorn.

Key words: Chinese sea buckthom, Russian sea buckthom, Protective enzymes, Dorught sterss, Malondiadehyde
