Abstract: The morphological traits of 65 Chinese cabbage germplasm were studied and analyzed. It was found that there was distinct difference on the floss, petiole color, petiole length, head shape, head weight, and so on.There are different extend of diversity on the different varieties.Among the different varieties, the variation-coefficient of the floss goes up to 77.5%,which is the important trait in the period of growth on Chinese cabbage. The variation-coefficient of the petiole color can be 53.5%.Further more, the widest range of plant height goes up to 60.0cm,and that of the leaf length goes up to 62.0cm.Petiole length that directly affects plant diameter not only has higher variation-coefficient,which can be 40.0%,but also has higher widest range, which can be 49.6cm.Many distinct differences were also found in the qualitative traits. Thus it can be seen that there are distinct genetic diversity in the Chinese cabbage germplasm.
