Effect of Mulching with Liquid-film on the Retained Boll and Yield of Cotton

Abstract

Abstract: Effects of mulching with liquid-film on the yield of cotton were studied in this paper in 2000 and 2001, using pest-resistant cotton variety of ? 99B?.It promoted the accumulation of dry matter in cotton fruits and enhanced the bolLweight.Also a more reasonable time and space distribution of bolLsetting, a decreased number of rot bolls, an increased number of high-quality bolls and a higher lint yield were observed.Of alLthe treatments, T2 was the best, and lint output was increased by 15%.
