Abstract: The days from emergence of seedlings to heading of 90 millet varieties were studied in Henan, Shanxi and Gansu where the temperatures are rather different but the latitudes are close. The results indicated that the temperatures needed from emergence of seedlings to heading were quite different among these varieties and that the temperature-sensitive degrees of these varieties of different sources were also different.Temperature sensitivities of leading popular cultivars in the ecological regionsof main production area of Chinese millet were cleared, and the 4 varieties that were not sensitive to temperature and 42 varieties that were moderate-sensitive to temperature were screened.
