Abstract: Field trials were conducted to study the relationship between absorption oi N, P2O5 and accumulation of photosynthate in the main growing stages and grain yield by using two varieties of winter wheat during 1986-1990.The results showed that the accumule-tion of photosynthatc increased with absorption of N, P2O5 in the early growing siage. The excessive absorption of N would induce unfavourable effect on the post-anthcsis biomass accumulation and final yield. The suitable criteria of N and P2O5 absorption in main growing stages were determined. And also it was revealed that N and P2O5 absorption and accumulation were mainly related to the amount of N and P2O5 applied.Based on the result, monitoring techniques for fertilizer used to maintain suitable N and P2O5 levels in wheat were established.
