Abstract: The difference in pollen yield per plant among varieties are significant, which have relation to tassel branch number and flowering duration. Average pollen yield with normal plant population density is 9.12kg/mu. Maize pollen, the same to other plant pollens, has adequate content of proteins, amino acids, vitamins, inositol, organic acids, mineral elements, zeatin and rutin. Its content of zeatin, rutin and inostol is particularly rich. The pollen yield of single plant was determined by covering bag.
