Abstract: This research was carried out in order to study the relationship between the priming with Sodium Poly-Propenate(SPP)and the ethylene-releasing by seeds during germination. Results indicated that SPP priming induced seeds to produce ethylene during germination, and changed the pattern of ethylenereleasing,i.e.from the synchronous releasing during germitation,to the production of large amount of ethylene before completion of germination. Those changes may facilitate seed germination.
