Abstract: In order to research the effect of additioning or dropping of satellite chromosome on the photosynthetic char-acteristics of Chinese cabbage, the satellite chromosome monosome(sat monosome),diploid and trisome(sat trisome)of Chi-nese cabbage were used to examine photosynthetic rate(Pn),diurnal variation, light saturation and compensation point, the chlorophyll content and Hill reaction activity etc.The result showed that the additioning of sat-chromosome had a negative effect on the Pn and the dropping of sat-chromosome had no effect on Pn.The additioning or dropping of sat chromosome had no effect on diurnal variation, the curves of diurnal change of Pn of three lines were similar, all showed typical two peaks. The additioning or dropping of sat-chromosome shortened optimal time of photosynthesis. The additioning or dropping of sat-chromosome had a positive effect on chlorophyll content. The additioning of sat-chromosome reduced Hill reaction activity greatly, but the dropping of satellite chromosome had no effect on it.
