Abstract: The extract from cotton meal was tested with 9 plant pathogens under separete cultivating conditions. Results showed that the extraction was able to inhibit the growth of plant pathogens.Amongs them, the inhibition to the growth of Physalospora piricola and Glomerella cingulata were more effective, and their inhibited rates reached to 63.27% and 61.07% at 10 times dilutuon in 48 h respectively;and the inhibited rates to Botrytis cucumber and Fusarium graminearum were 71.70% and 66.67% at 10 times dilutuon in 72 h respectively. The main chemical components were queticin and condensed tannin. The total content of flavonoids was 1.48 mg/mL in the extraction.
