Abstract: Effect of wheat st raw mulching on herbicide rate reduction in zero-til summer corn was studiedfrom 1997-2001value Wheat straw mulching before corn emergence played a very important role in w eed control incorn fieldvalue Weed density was reduced by 49value1%-96value1% in the wheat st raw mulching plots of 4 500-7 500kg/ ha comparing with the unmulched treatment svalue The dosage of post-apply ing herbicide, nicosulfuron andat razine with acetochlor, could be reduced by 25% in these mulched plotsvalue Wheat st raw also reduced corn y ieldif mulched with 7 500 kg/ havalue
