Abstract: Methods of plant anatomy and developing morphology and technique of optical mi-croscopy were used to observe the morphology, structure and distribution character of bast fiber in fiber-used flax in the study. The development of the individual and collective of bast fiber cells, the relationship between this development and flax-plant and stem part of flax were analysized. The optical microscopical pictures of the development of flax fiber were also taken. The results showed that the collective structure of flax bast fiber, the morphology and super-micro structure of fiber cells were different dued to the difference of developing stages and stem parts, and it showed significant genetic and part effectiveness. The development of flax bast fiber cell underwent four continuous interrelative stages,i.e. ,meristematy formation,elongation,thick-ening of cell wall and maturation. The collective development of bast fiber cells in flax-plant were coordinationally. The process of the development was periodically.
