Heterosis of Quality Characters of Winter Wheat

Abstract

Abstract: With 120 crosses made from 16×16 diallel cross and their parents,studies on the heterosis of 4 quality characters of winter wheat were carried out with following results:the heterosis of quality characters decreased as the character values of parents increased.The crosses between parents with mid value characters had the highest heterosis over mid parent and the check.The dry gluten contents in F 1 hybrids would be improved through cross among parents with higher values.
