Breeding of Double-Low Rapeseed Variety (Brassica napus L.) Yuyou 2

Abstract: Yuyou 2 is a double - low rapeseed variety (Brassica napus L. ) derived from the progenies of (7818×Marnoo) F2×QVa through a pedigree selection method. It is characterized by high yield, fine quality and resistance (or tolerance) to mosaic and sclerotiose. Primarily, it is a concreated combination of high yield, fine quality and diseases resistance. In the three-year regional test,productive demonstration in Henan Province and two-year national regional test in Huanghuai region, its yield increased by 15.6%, 3.78%, 23.6% compared with double-low cultivar Yuyou 1, Nanyang 41 with high erucic and high glucosinolates and single-low cultivar Qinyou 3 respectively. Its erucic content is 0.244%, glucosinolates content is 16.5?mol/g and oil content is 39.48%, which quality reached the international standard of fine quality rapeseed.
