Abstract: TDCA(Two-dimensional Dynamic Controlled Atmosphere)is a new technique and theory of apple storage. This paper introduces the main difference between TDCA and traditional controlled atmosphere(CA)storage, and presents the results gained from strict comparative research. Red Delicious apples could be stored for five months with this method, while fruit quality and firmness were better than that of the fruits stored in a refrigerated room and equal to the fruits of CA storage.
