Differences in Physiological Character of Eggplants with Different Nitrogen Use Efficiency

Abstract: In order to understand the seedling physiological character of eggplants with different nitrogen use efficiency.Solution culture was conducted to study the plant morphological traits and root morphologic characteristics in two eggplant with different N use efficiency(NUE) under two nitrogen levels.The result showed that there were significant variations in average root length,root volume,root dry weight,plant dry weight,total nitrogen uptake under low nitrogen stress.The 06-991 was higher than 06-867 in average root length,root volume,root dry weight,plant dry weight,total nitrogen uptake and root shoot ratio under low nitrogen stress.
