Abstract: "Biohydrogenation of unsaturated fatty acids(UFA) in feed by the rumen microorganism heavily limited the conversion efficiency to ruminant products, which makes difficult to manipulate milk fatty acids composition.UFA as one kind of unique function biological activity material, has a wide range of biological functions in biological systems. This paper reviewed the reason for biohydrogenation, rumen microorganism and intermediates in biohydrogenation"

Key words: Rumen, Unsaturated fatty acid, Biohydrogenation
