Abstract: This experiment was conducted to study the effect of dietary supplementation of Y ikang XP and yeast culture(YC)on rumen fermentation parameters and duodenal flow of amino acid(AA)in growing goats.Three goats((15 ± 215)kg)were fitted with ruminal and duodenal cannulae and allocated to three dietary treatments in a 3 × 3 Latin square design. The goats were fed a same basic ration and supplemented with Y ikang XP and YC both at 0.25 % level. The results showed that there was an increasing tendencyof ruminal pH value and NH32N concentration when supplemented with YC,and a decreasing tendency of ruminal pH value and NH32N concentration was observed when supplemented with Y ikang XP.The content of total volatile fatty acid(TVFA) decreased by 20.61 % and 3.98 %(P > 0.05)when supplemented with Y ikang XP and YC,respectively. There were no significantly(P > 0.05)differences of the content of TVFA,individual VFA content and its ratio, and the ratio of acetic acid to propionate acid when supplemented with Y ikang XP and YC.The dietary supplementation of Y ikang XP and YC did not affect(P > 0.05)the duodenal flowof AA,the duodenal flow of AA for the YC treatment was higher than that for the Y ikang XP treatment. In conclusion, the dietary supplementation of YC had positive effects on regulation of rumen fermentation and promotion of rumen microbial protein synthesis.
