Abstract: The high generation inbred materials of Japonica rice restorer line Chaoyou21(T5,T6)and maintainer lineZaohua22(T4,T5),which was transformed with SCK and bar gene, GNA and hyg gene respectively, were screened forinsect resistance and agronomic traits. The results showed that the transgenic restorer lines were highly resistant to Basta, but exhibited different level resistance to Chilo suppressalis; Japonica maintainer line were highly resistant to hy2gromycin,but most of plants showed lower resistant to Nilaparvata lugens Stai, only a few individual plants were highly re2sistant to Nilaparvata lugens Stai and Sogatella furcifera(Horvath),and they were highly resistant to Rice Stripe Diseasein the field at the same time; The transgenic sterile line was highly resistant to hygromycin. The exogenous genes trans2formed in maintainer and restorer line could be stably expressed. The transgenic restorer line showed different level ofvariation in heading date, plant height, panicle length and the number of panicle. The variation of plant height and pani2cle2type for transgenic maintainer line was wider. The combination of ″ transgenic restorer line/transgenic male sterileline″ showed high resistance to both hylambatin and Basta, and the other agronomic traits were identical to control group. The safety of transgenic rice was also discussed.
