Effect of Pre-treatment on the Structure of Anthers in Radish

Abstract

Abstract: The effect of pre-treatment on the structure of anthers in radish was stubied. After 1, 3, 5 d in cold pre-treatment of flower tress, the tapetal cells begrabed while the vigor of the microspores increased. After 7 d, the tapetal cells begrabed severely and the numbers and the vigor of microspores decreased. In the mannital and the colchicines pre-treadment of isolated anthers, cold temperature were effective for keeping anther structure and microspore vigor. And the appropriate treatment time was 3 d.
