Abstract: The experiment was carried out to investigate the relations of, nutrients change and parthenocarpy with the eggplant parthenocarpy line D-11 and non-parthenocarpy line S8 during fruit development. The results showed that better ability of producation in the parthenocarpy line D-11 was observed without pollination. Its fruit weight, vertical and horizontal size were close to the fruit with pollination, and the fruit growth was faster than S8 line's. The content of fruit protein in parthenocarpy line D-11 was 59% higher than that of non-parthenocarpy line S8 on the pollination day. Along with the fruit development, the soluble sugar content of fruit had increase trend, but the protein content appeared adverse effect in the eggplant of parthenocarpy and non-parthenocarpy.
