Abstract: Lily is one of the most important flowering plants, with big flowers and high value for appreciation. Because of its big genome, lily is very little studied at molecular level. Recently molecular researches on the development of flowers grow rapidly in lily. Now several genes have been cloned, including some MADS-box genes involved in the development of flower organs and other genes as LGC1, LLA-23, etc. In this article we make a brief depiction about part of genes cloned in lily.

Key words: Lily, MADS-box genes, LGC1 gene, LLA-23 gene, Gene engineering
