Abstract: The cell compositions of 2 forage species and 8 cultivars at different harvest time were measured by enzyme catabolization method, the results showed that there were no significant difference of digestibility among the tested cultivars of Lolium multiflorum L.but there was a significant difference of digestibility between the cultivar Magnet with highmg and the cultivar Tachiwase. There was also a significant difference of digestibility between the cultivar Himag of Festuca arundinacea Schreb. With highmg and the other 3 given cultivars. There was no significant difference of digestibility among the 3 cultivars. There was a highest digestibility for the two forage species harvesting in October. There was a lowest digestibility for Lolium multiflorum harvesting in July, however for Festuca arundinacea harvesting in September.
