Abstract: Physiological observations, detections and measures were conducted of energy and percentage of germination, seedling length, frequency of abnormal chromosome and RAPD on vegetable seeds of 3 species in order to assess seed vigor, viability, and genetic integrity under long term's and normal atmospheric temperature storage. The facts that these vegetable seed not only have more aging tolerance at normal temperature after ultra-drying treatment, but also hold its stability of genetic integrity, and seed vigor and viability remain well prove means that ultra-dry storageis a simple, practicable and effective method for vegetable seeds.

Key words: Vegetable seed, Ultra-dry storage, Chromosome aberration, RAPD, Genetic integrity
