Abstract: Using twenty wheat varieties (lines) in this experiment, the correlations between the canopy characteristic and yield with its components were studied by canonical correlation analysis, Results showed that yield was significantly correlated with its components and the plant characteristic; the number of kernels per ear, the number of ears per plant and population exit the biggest effects on the yield. The weight of dry substance and the plant height in plant characteristic exit the biggest effects on the yield. The length of leaf was significantly correlated with the yield; the effect of length of top 3rd leaf was biggest for average yield; the effects of 3 leaves were similar for the grain yield per plant; The yield components were signifficantly canonical correlated with canopy characteristic. The stem diameter were signifficantly correlated with stem wall thickness and length between knots. In canony leaf characters, every two groups exit signifficant correlation except between the leaf width and the degree of spreading.
