Abstract: There was an obvious seasonal difference for grass growth between mountain areas and flatlands due to the climatic differences. Thorefore,a new production system of quality lamb meat was developed,i.e., breeding lambs in summer in mountain areas, then transferring the weaned lands to flatlands to quickly fatten them after grass withered up in autumn .The advantages are as follows;a) to improve the goat population structure in mountain areas and increase commodity rate and economic benefit;b) to solve the problem of forage shortage in winter and spring, and protect the ecological environment in mountain areas;c) to fully utilize the grass resource in the mountain areas and the plant stalks resource in flatlands and develop animal husbandry for grain saving;d) to produce more quality lamb meat for the market;e)to return stalks to land after digested by animal, and fertilize the soil.
