Abstract: The stable-high-yield ability and adaptability of wheat Ji84-5418 were analysed by using regional tests and their related data at different levels in four years. The results showed chat the variety with a great yield potential was widely suitable for the I-Iuang-Hai wheat area and stable in yield when the environmental average of yield was above 340 kg/mu. Each of the abilities of high yield and stable yield was controlled by an independent gene system, All the factors composing yield had self-regulation abilities to guarantee high and stable yields, The results also showed that using two parameters of the Eberhart-Russell model and other statistical data to evaluate multi-year and multi-site test results of a single variety could he a means to comprehensively and reasonably reflect the real state of the variety.

Key words: Wheat, Stable-high-yield ability, Adaptability
