Abstract: A new method was used to define the position of fistulization bile cyst of swine in this study. 53 pigs were operated snccessfully by this method. The characteristics of the draining bile and the content of the bilirubin were observed at the same time. The volume of the draining bile was difference from the individual andthe time after operated. The volume cf the draining bile trended to dropprogressively as the time after operated prolonged. The largest volume was1-5 days after surgery. There were three peaks of volume at 6:00, 12:00and 18:00, and they were identical with the feeding time. The bilirubin content from the draining liver bile was lower than that of cyst bile. The bilirubin content cf each 100ml was 0.0234g and 0.0351g respectively. The bilirubin content in the draining liver bile not varied with the period of drain (P0.05).The volume of the draining bile of the test group (with supplement of bile salt) was clearly higher than that of the control(P0.01), and the trend stably went up in the whole draining period. The peak of the volume of the test group appeared at 20-30 days in the period of draining bile but the control group was 5 days at the initial. The supplement of bile salt could whet appetite so the weight (P0.05)and the feed conversion (P0.05) were larger than that of control group.
