Abstract: This paper deals with the effect of application of N fertilizer on the accumulation of nitrate in 6 green and root vegetables in vivo. The result of experiments shows that there is significiant positive correlation between amounts of N applying and the accumulation of nitrate in vegetables in vivo.Through the experiment of the relation of the amounts of N fertilizer applying and the yield of Chinese cabbage the reasonable amount of N fertilizer is suggested. It was also found that K fertilizer and P fertilizer, especially K, plays an important part in decreasing the accumulation of nitrate in the vegetables in vivo, by the experiment of combinating application of N, P, K fertilizer.
